I believe inspiration is an internal force. It comes from deep within. It is what keeps us going when we feel like giving up, when challenges seem too hard, obstacles too big. It wasn't until I found the profession of coaching that I was inspired to step up in this world and embrace the life I wanted to live.
I have always been the one friends turned to for support. Heart breaks, family issues, career problems, there was no limit on what people wanted to chat about. I spent years doing my best to help, trying to find solutions for them. I never realized then that each one of us are our own best resources, that we inherently have the answers we seek, we just need someone to help us find them. It also helps that I am incredibly curious (confession: until I found this profession it may have been considered nosey!) and have always been interested in people, who they are, what they do and what makes them tick.
My own journey started several years ago. I spent 10 years in the oil and gas industry located in Calgary, Canada. At the time it was all about proving to the world that I could do it. That I could survive in the industry and ultimately succeed. The lessons I learned were invaluable, how strong I was, how much I could really accomplish. When I was done proving to the world what I could do I set out to really ignite my soul. I took a look at my values, what was important to me and what was filler. It was then I realized that what I enjoyed so much, I had been doing for years.
My personal experiences have given me great insight on what it is like to feel stuck. To know how challenging it can be to move forward. And how important having support really is. I am committed to working with people who want something different in their lives, to be there through the ups and downs as you ultimately follow your dreams and create the life you want!!
Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so you shall become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil.
